your well pump needs to be checked

If your home’s water supply is provided by a well, then your well pump is arguably one of the most important pieces of equipment you own. Without a well pump, your home cannot receive water. Suffice it to say that if your well pump stops working, you will know pretty quickly that something is wrong. Here are some of the signs that might be telling you well pump repairs are needed:

  • The number one sign that well pump repairs might be necessary is low water pressure in your home. If you turn on the faucet and water slowly streams out and does not flow faster by turning the faucet higher, you may have issues with your well pump. Most homes today have a submersible well pump that will automatically detect the water pressure in your home and supply you with more water when lower pressure is detected. If you have little to no water pressure, there’s a good chance you need well pump repairs.
  •  Another sign that your well pump is not working correctly is if it is constantly running. You may detect a loud noise from your well or notice that the noise doesn’t go away. You might  also notice that your utility costs are higher than normal. If your well pump is running non-stop, it is not working correctly.
  • One more sign that your well pump needs to be checked is if you have no water flow in your home. This could be a problem with the pressure switch, or it could signify that there is a poor connection between the well pump and the pressure switch.

Most well pumps today will last for a good 25 years, so if you suspect you are having issues with yours, contact us to come take a look and see if we can repair it for you and avoid a replacement cost.
